Hunters! Today I am happy to share that the biggest and most annoying (for achievement/trophy hunters anyway) DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Dawn of Ragnarok – finally complete!
Don’t get me wrong – it’s all good and all but that DLC alone was around 15-20 hours long. Now I have completed all base game, Wrath of Drios DLC, Siege of Paris DLC and Dawn of Ragnarok DLC achievements. Only 2 more toms of the fallen, The Forgotten Saga and challenges left. I really hope to finish whole game by the end of the year!
Dawn of Ragnarok DLC
So, regarding the Dawn of the Ragnarok DLC and why it’s so annoying – you need to complete the entire story (which is fine). Then, as always, complete all location (I believe there are over 200 collectibles across the DLC including artifacts, wealth and mysteries).
Then you have to upgrade your Hugr-RIP fully. It would be fine but to do this, you need to finish all the raids to gain enough Silica (and there is one altar that also requires some Silica so you need to complete all raids). Then you also need to unlock muspel-stones or whatever which are high up on islands in the air. To do this, you need to finish one of the mysteries. Then, fly to the remaining flying islands, kill enemies, collect the stone and finish upgrading your tool completely. To fly, you also need to get the raven sub-skill for your Hugt-RIP.
Then there is another achievement that requires you to fight in Kara’s challenge with 4 boasts. Each boast has negative effect on you. For me, I had a boast that would put me in a fight with bare hand. I could barely do any damage and there was lava all around the arena, meaning, one wrong step and I lose half of my health. Then I realise I could use my normal powers to defeat enemies. That’s what I did. The whole arena fight took at least 20 minutes.
And then there are couple more, a lot less time consuming achievements – the one where you have to purify armour – easy, just add purity stones that you acquire from certain artifacts (part of completion achievement) to each armour piece. And then kill 2 enemies without being seen and fly away which was also qutie easy. That’s all.
However, the most annoying thing was that sometimes to collect a wealth item or artifact – you’d need Hugr-RIP powers such as flying up high or use muspel power so you don’t get damaged by the lava or teleport.
Well, it’s done now. Happy hunting hunters!
