So who the hell is Don Mazonas (aka Kontender Don)?
Hi, my name is Don. I was born in Kaunas, Lithuania but lived my first 16 years of life in a small Lithuanian town called Plunge. When I was 16, I moved to the UK, started attending college (5 years) and then university (another 5 years of education). In September 2022, I moved from Hertfordshire to West Yorkshire. Now I live in a small town (or is it village?) that basically has 1 main street and couple streets branching out of it. The town is called South Elmall. I like it – I live 1 hour (or so) away from Leeds, Sheffield and York. Also, Manchester and Hull are just under 1.5 hours of driving.
What do I do for living?
For the last 16 years, I have been into digital marketing, especially SEO. I have been able to rank for the toughest and hardest keywords so my services were in a lot of demand. Then I realised that I am just making a ton of money for other people and businesses but not myself. So, in November of 2022, me and my dad started a home and office removals company. We had a small van but rendering services for 2+ bedroom homes were impossible if the moving distance was like 30 miles.
So we bought luton van – the largest van (3.5 tonne van) that you can drive with normal driving license and we started moving homes and offices within Yorkshire and surrounding areas. I am sure my SEO and digital marketing skills truly help my business and also my gaming project.
My gaming experience
I am really a casual gamer. I am not very much into competitive or eSports although recently I developed some sympathy to Modern Warfare 2. DMZ actually. However, this project will be about variety of games. 2 of my most favourite franchises are Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry (no, I am not paid by Ubi and I am not Ubisoft ambassador, I just love these franchises, that’s all).
So expect to see me stream and play a ton of great title from variety of different genres – FPS/shooters, adventures, strategy, racing, etc …
Life outside work and gaming
Besides my work and gaming, I still have some other passions – travelling and dancing (actual partnered dancing, not raving in night clubs). I fell in love with lindy hop (part of swing dancing) in mid of 2013 when my sister dragged me along (while my sister quit dancing quite a few years ago, I keep dancing). The dancing allows me to interact with other people, get to travel around Europe (and, hopefully, beyond soon), meet people from all walks of life, etc … it’s good for the body, spirit and mind, you know 🙂
